Styx Ferry Guidelines for Travelers and Frequently Asked Questions
Arrivals: Be advised that the Reception Terminal on your side of the Styx continues to be greatly overcrowded because of the number of the Living that have arrived early. Please be considerate and continue to live your Life, as fully as possible, until the actual time scheduled for you.
Departures: The Journey you will take after your Crossing depends on your Journey up to the point of Death. It is well to consider what your current Journey is like, and make any necessary adjustments, before you get here. Travel arrangements cannot be adjusted after embarkation.
Legal Matters: At Death, you are relinquished of all obligations to the Living, but your Karmic Legacy continues to affect all those with whom you interacted in Life. Start now to avoid unwanted surprises.
In Memoriam: If you choose, you can continue to support (Bless) the Living. This is not able to amend any of your Karmic Legacy, however. It is a gift you may give to those you choose. We highly recommend that you do designate as many beneficiaries as possible. The designation process must be completed before your arrival. It consists in practicing such support (blessing) toward the beneficiary in question, and this also stores up Good Karma which is the price of the support (Blessing). A price chart will be made available on request. “Buy Karmic Bonds!”
Baggage: We recommend leaving all Regrets behind, if at all possible; they will burden down your Heart and cause it to sink below Ma’at’s Feather. To put this in terms for our Rationalist friends–there is a very expensive added cost for Baggage of any sort. Please plan accordingly.
Lounge: For the Shamans, Seers, Holy Men and Women, Prophets and such: Your Crossing of the Styx will be made more pleasant by Lounge privileges with World Class Entertainment. This is a Reward for those who have been in the habit of performing the Crossing during Life. Don’t forget to claim this perk!
For the Sinners: We recognize that some will have such poor Regressions in their Headsets that the sight of the Very Nasty Things that dwell in the Styx is preferable. This just makes us sad, so it very highly recommended against. Also, screaming and gnashing of teeth must be kept to a minimum during your Crossing. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
For the rest: You too can have World Class Entertainment in your Life Regression Headset; just remember to truly savor the Present. Surveys we have performed indicate this usually results in a good Regression, and any practice before your arrival has an out-sized benefit. A word to the Wise!
Buckets: Please deposit your “bucket list” buckets at the Recycling counter. It is not necessary to empty your bucket before recycling it, but any Regrets remaining in it will be returned to you. Please see “Baggage” above. You can reduce the number of Regrets returned to you by proper handling of the contents of your bucket during Life. We have found that heavier items tend to shift to the bottom of the bucket, and these are the very items most likely to have concomitant Regrets. “Practice good bucket list hygiene!”
ID Cards: Identification is not required; we know who you are. If you are uncertain of your identity, please address this matter during Life. This will eliminate a major source of confusion for passengers during the Crossing.
FAQ: In response to a glut of questions at our Complaint Desk, please know that:
- yes, how much you follow the Dharma is the only determining factor in calculating your Karma.
- no, your Laws are not necessarily aligned with the Principles of the Dharma.
- no, there is no Higher Power to whom you can appeal at this point. The only valid time for appeal ended at your scheduled arrival time.
- yes, there is the possibility of finding Happiness on the Other Side; it’s likelihood is about the same as it was for you during your Life, with allowances made for circumstances beyond your control.
Enjoy your Crossing, and remember…
