Ya’ know, I just gotta apologize here for a minute. Here I am twisting all of Mythology into balloon sculptures that all look, suspiciously, like the same old animal- the Quest for Enlightenment. I’m sorry I’ve ruined these stories for some of you. I know how it is, when you see something and you just can’t stop seeing it. I do that to Barchen all the time and he hates it. (No, you do. You’re too nice to say it, but you do.)
Anyway, try to enjoy the stories despite that. Actually, it could be a good thing- elegant complexity is a joy in itself, as long as that was what the author intended. Maybe we’re indulging in a little thing like Andy Warhol here, reusing these stories to create our own elegantly complex balloon sculptures. When it comes to Pop Art I prefer Roy Lichtenstein though. Wish I could draw like that. But we all got our job. (Lookin at you, Barchen!)
Would it help to know that we Spirit Guides have been hiding these secret messages in your Myths (and Cartoons, some of them) forever? Maybe that freaks you out more, and if so, sorry. Maybe I’d better stop talking now.
