Here’s my claim (just play along with me and adopt this metaphor for the way the world works)– The spirits remade my body and gave me the authority, and ability, to travel to the Spirit Realms (aka Non-Ordinary Reality), from where I can gain more certain knowledge of secrets past, present, and future. Or, if you prefer, adopt this metaphor– I have been trained in the art of adopting a number of different epistemological viewpoints, from where I can gain a clearer understanding of obscure things past, present, and future. Use whichever works for you. I thought I might put a sign out: “Shamanic Divination, 5 cents”. Your mileage may vary. Prices subject to change.

Q: Why did I have Bärchen set up this blog?

A: I Ching Hexagram 18. “Work on what has been spoiled.” In particular, “Six at the beginnning means: Setting right what has been spoiled by the paternalistic ancestors. If there is an heir, no blame rests on the departed ancestors. Danger. In the end good fortune.” By this I mean it is time to honor the Ways of both Heaven and Earth equally, and to acknowledge that neither Essence (Spirit) nor Existence (Matter) precedes the other; rather, they both grow together out of Great Mystery. And no, that is not my real picture. Duh!
